Superdelegate Kevin Rodriquez... make up your mind!

Superdelegate Kevin Rodriquez from the Virgin Islands has done a double-reverse flip.

On May 10th he switch from Clinton to Obama.

While I have great respect for Senator Clinton, today I am announcing my support for Barack Obama. Senator Obama has brought a new generation  and energy into the democratic process and the Democratic Party. He has shown he can connect with Democrats, Republicans and Independents across this country, whether we live on the mainland or an island. Senator Obama’s judgment to lead, courage to tell the truth and commitment to working men and women make him the best candidate to lead this country forward.

And yesterday, according to a two line press release he switched back to Clinton. Naturally tools people like Mark Halperin jumped on the endorsement. He even counted him twice for Clinton.

Rodriquez Backs Clinton

Virgin Islands automatic delegate Kevin Rodriquez announced his support for Hillary Clinton today. Rodriquez is a member of the Democratic National Committee.

Being the ridiculously obsessive compulsive superdelegate tracker I am, alarm bells instantly went off. I send an email to the Clinton Press Office and get this wonderfully informative reply:

Our announcement is accurate--he now supports Sen. Clinton.

We are digging into this one and are trying to get a quote from Rodriquez.

This is why we started our list. When only numbers were given out we had no clue who endorsed which candidate. The list makes it harder for them to switch and will make Mr. Rodriquez have to come out with a fully qualified statement as to what the hell he's doing.

Note: This diary was originally a superdelegate Open Thread. I focused on Rodriquez after finding out there already was one here.

This is a good thing though as I'll be away for a few hours watching everybody's favorite candidate in Thornton, CO
